• Doyeon(May) Kim

  May is interested in learning about philosophical ideas and watching quantum mechanics theories on YouTube. She has played the violin since the age of 5 and still plays when she wants to rest. She has lived in Korea, Vietnam, and India, so she has experienced multiple intersections between these cultures, but the one that has shaped her identity the most is Korea.

  Ishaan is a Grade 9 student during the academic year 2025-2026

• Jawad Bin Anam

  Jawad is a 16-year-old student at the American Embassy School with a strong passion for mathematics, artificial intelligence, and innovative problem-solving. He is driven by the belief that technology should be purposeful, accessible, and capable of solving real-world challenges. Through research and creativity, he aims to design smart, sustainable solutions that create meaningful impact.

• Joonhee(Esther) Myung

  Esther has been playing the violin for 11 years, starting in first grade. Having lived in both Korea and the United States before moving to India, she developed a love for traveling and experiencing different cultures. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and spending quality time with her friends and family.

• Muhammad Musa Haque

  Musa is a 16 year old who has been doing public speaking since middle school and finds enjoyment in presenting to everyone, especially on topics related to past vs. future. His other hobbies consist of reading, running, badminton, and spending time with family.

• Rishi Aggarwal

  Rishi is driven to explore everything new in the world. He is interested in economics and the world of business. He will talk about AI, common misconceptions, and his belief about how Gen Z can tackle this newest thing.

• Samuel Vierra

  Sam is an educator and curriculum designer with 23 years of teaching experience across Teach For America and international schools in Seoul, Shanghai, Hawaii, and India. He holds a BA from Occidental College, an MA from Loyola Marymount University, and an MA from Harvard University, and specializes in philosophy, ethics, and project-based learning that connects deep thinking to real-world impact.

• Vera Garg

  A high School History and TOK teacher for over 40 years, Vera has guided generations with intellectual rigour and compassion, nurturing scholarship, global citizenship, and a lifelong commitment to history. In recognition of her exceptional role as a teacher, mentor, and committed member of the historical profession, she was recently awarded the Nancy Lyman Roelker award by the American Historical Association.

• Yaj Parameswaran

  Yaj is a current senior who has committed to attending Vanderbilt University for undergraduate studies. For the past 4 years, he has been passionate about addressing food security, nutrition, and sustainable development issues through his research initiatives and field engagement across India.
