  High School Student

  Hey! My name is Jihyeon, or Henny to my friends. Let me ask a question: is a Hot dog a sandwich? Some may define a sandwich as meat filling between two pieces of bread—which would include a hot dog—while others passionately disagree. But why does it have to be one or the other? What if hot dogs were never meant to fit neatly into categories, but to exist in between? In my talk, I hope to explore what we might be missing when we translate or define everything so neatly.   Hello! My name is Leightan Koff and I am a sophomore at East Coweta High School. I don’t remember learning how to use technology, I just remember it always coexisting alongside me. In this talk, I’ll explore what it means to grow up in the first digital generation, where algorithms quietly shape the way we think. Every video we see on our ‘for you page’ is carefully selected based on a profile built around us. So, the question is: in a world shaped by artificial intelligence, how do we keep our own identity and integrity?

  My name is Maksim Chan, and I’m a junior at East Coweta High School. I believe that no one should have to face anything alone. Like most of us, I’m a busy guy with a boatload of stress behind me and a future to worry about, but above all, I am an advocate for the idea that a single moment of positivity can change the trajectory of someone’s life. I’m here to show that kindness is the most powerful tool we have to save a life, and it doesn't cost a thing.

  Hi! My name is Maya and I am currently a junior in high school. I’ve always grown up believing that change doesn’t come from just sitting around and waiting, instead it comes from just showing up, putting in the work, and caring about the things others might see. I’m committed to helping make our school a place where every voice matters, where the unnoticed becomes seen, and where the effort we put in turns into real impact. Not just for today, but for the community we as a school are building together.

  Hello, my name is Peace Mivedor, and I am currently a 10th-grade student at East Coweta. Since i’ve grown up in an immigrant household, many things that were instilled in me like work ethic and academic success have driven my life. I want to discuss the effect that might have on others like me and help understand how we can keep a healthy mindset while navigating school life.
