TEDxMedijana

There is a moment when everything goes quiet. The noise softens, the distractions fall away, and our attention settles on one clear point of focus: an idea. In that quiet, we let the idea breathe and be seen for what it truly is. The moment we choose to pause, to listen and to look closer is the moment meaning steps under the spotlight. At the heart of TEDxMedijana is a simple but powerful goal: to bring the weight of ideas closer to the place we live in. We are a team of local volunteers driven by curiosity, by care, and by a deep belief that our community is worth nurturing so it can grow into something larger. "Under the Spotlight", our theme for 2026, is how we honor that belief. It makes room for the voices that already shine among us and for the conversations that deserve our collective attention. Our event is an ode to our city, to our people, and to the ideas that can move us forward together, bringing diverse experiences and globally relevant topics into focus through a local lens. Subthemes of this year's theme: Roots, Bridges, Momentum and Destinations. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
