• Fhiwa Ndou

  Bowdoin College Alumni

  Fhiwa Ndou ‘13 is a career advisor, writer, entrepreneur, and community organizer who has spent the better part of a decade helping people stop absorbing other people’s expectations and start pouring out their own. He founded Blueprint Maine Inc. (BPME), a creative youth leadership and development nonprofit that helps children from asylum seeking families become designers of their own destinies and architects of their own fate. He is currently building Cove, an AI-powered coaching app designed to give anxious early-career job seekers a sense of agency in a market that rarely offers them one. His work sits at the intersection of identity, education, and innovation.

  Student at Bowdoin College

  Katherine is a senior at Bowdoin College studying Earth and Oceanographic Science. She co-leads the Carbon Fee and Dividend Movement.

• Katharine Scott

  Assistant Professor of Psychology

  Dr. Katharine Scott is a developmental psychologist and Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College. Her research surrounds a mission to tackle prejudice where it begins: in childhood. Her work helps parents and teachers learn how to raise kids who see injustice clearly and do something about it.

• Mateo Morales Gómez

  Student at Bowdoin College

  Eduardo Mateo Morales Gómez is an Economics and Digital & Computational Studies student at Bowdoin College. As an International Student Scholar from Ecuador and an Equitech Futures Scholar at Oxford, Mateo works at the nexus of quantitative finance and artificial intelligence. As the founder of Equis, a regional NGO scaled to a budget of $500K+, Mateo has been working to close the digital divide for underserved communities in Latin America for years. Mateo has also worked with UNESCO and the United Nations to inform international education policy. Inspired by his own experiences in low-bandwidth environments, Mateo envisions a future in which Al acts as a catalyst for real, authentic empowerment. Mateo's vision is to see that the next generation of technology looks more like the Global South.

• Vianney Gomezgil Yaspik

  Assistant Professor of Digital and Computational Studies

  Professor Vianney Gomezgil Yaspik completed her PhD and MBA at the University of Cambridge. She also holds degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, and Strategic Studies from Bowdoin College and Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include: cultural bias in digital artifacts, data science applications to education, digital currencies, political economies of pension systems, public economics, and development economics. Vianney is fluent in six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), if she is not learning a new language, you are likely to find her on the rugby pitch.
