Speakers
Speakers may not be confirmed. Check the event website for the latest lineup.
Evelyn Unterfrauner
Evelyn Unterfrauner grew up in South Tyrol and discovered her passion for books at fifteen. In 2013 she began studying literature in Innsbruck, in 2015 she founded a book blog, in 2019 she joined a publishing house in Munich. Today she runs her own company there and works with people who tell their own stories online. When nobody needs anything from her, she goes to Paris, sits down in a café and watches people
Joachim Goller
Joachim Goller grew up in Bruneck and lives in New York, where he works as a manager at the logistics group Kuehne+Nagel and is a member of the Südstern network. What drives him is curiosity about the unfamiliar: new contexts, new connections, new ways of looking at a problem. When he is not traveling, his day almost always starts the same way, in the gym or on a run along the Hudson River.
Markus Ertel
Markus Ertel lives in Magdalensberg in Carinthia and has family in Bruneck. He develops generative artificial intelligence that runs locally and complies with data protection law, as a counter-model to the large systems from the USA and China. He is interested in how biological systems can be translated into technical ones, for example the human memory into the architecture of a piece of software.
Nicole Marquardt
Nicole Marquardt spent thirty years in large international organizations, leading complex projects for global clients, usually under high pressure. Today she lives between two continents and writes books. What drives her is the connection to people, to stories, to cultures. When she is not writing, you will find her playing tennis, out in nature or cooking with friends.
Patrick Gruber
Patrick Gruber grew up in Lana and has called the world his home as a digital nomad since 2021. Professionally he builds software, privately he collects languages, experiences and people he would otherwise never have met. And when he comes back, you will find him up on a mountain with some good speck.
Philipp Cottini
Philipp Cottini grew up in South Tyrol and lives in Lucerne, where he works as an entrepreneur and consultant. He studied management, communication and IT, plus coaching and trombone, and has helped build several companies, most recently a Swiss fitness software company. He plays in the South Tyrolean band SOUTHBRASS, and what matters to him is sport, family and the question of who he works with.
Reinhold Gallmetzer
Reinhold Gallmetzer comes from Petersberg, his mother from St. Georgen near Bruneck. He works for the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where his responsibilities include environmental crimes. In 2018 he founded the Center for Climate Crime Analysis, an international nonprofit organization that analyzes environmental and climate damage with legal and scientific methods in order to expose violations and hold those responsible to account. When he is in South Tyrol, he goes mountaineering or skiing. He is also a trained classical musician. Reinhold Gallmetzer speaks at TEDxBruneck in his personal capacity. The views expressed are his own and not those of the International Criminal Court.
Valeria Told
Valeria Told comes from Meran, her father from Antholz, where she spent her childhood summers. In her late twenties she took over as director of the Haydn Orchestra of Bozen and Trient in 2010 and led it for eleven years. She then ran the theater festival at the Teatro Greco in Syracuse and founded a European education company for classical music. She followed love to Germany and her inner calling to Portugal, where she lives today, writes and tends a meditation garden claimed by two cats.
