Joe Maalouf
Journalist TV presenter
I’m Joe Maalouf. Most people know me from television, where for years I’ve worked in media, investigative journalism, and public affairs. My work has always been driven by one thing: getting closer to the truth people are often afraid to say out loud. I come from a country full of contradictions, emotion, conflict, resilience, and unbelievable human stories, and maybe that’s why I’ve always believed that media should do more than entertain. It should challenge us, shake us a little, and sometimes force us to have the conversations we spend years avoiding. Whether through television, social initiatives, or public dialogue, I’ve always tried to create spaces where people can speak honestly, disagree openly, and still remember that they belong to the same society in the end.
Marie José Ayoub
Mural Artist
Born in Beirut, my artistic journey began with the NGO Toufoula, transforming hospital walls into dreamlike spaces for children battling cancer. This experience revealed art’s power in bringing comfort and hope, leading to further projects, in Lebanon and France where I lived for several years. I contributed to the transformation of underprivileged neighborhoods, refugee camps and conflict zones areas. Since 2015, street art and community workshops have become central to my practice, including murals created with students in schools restored after the Beirut port explosion. Since 2022, I have worked on monumental murals across Lebanon, Tunisia, and France. I see murals as poetic bridges between reality and imagination—stories of heritage and solidarity.
