• Airbus Ratchananon

  Airbus is a year 7 student in Regents International School Of Bangkok. Born on May 6th 2014 and at the age of 11, he is now here at TedEX to perform his brand new speech "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover", his achievements are vast for example he has experience with singing, with his role as the Genie in the primary live show of "Aladin" in 2025. He has been studying in Regents International School Of Bangkok for 1 year, but he has not been studying alone. He has one brother named "Tg" who is currently 14 years old and is here with him in Regents! Airbus is also known to be slightly "comedic" and enthusiastic all the time so he may be erratic but we hope you enjoy his speech, "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover!

• Boss Tantimasakul

  My name is Boss; many people call me Baby Boss. I am currently 15 years old, and I have studied at Regents since 2017. I am always passionate about multiple subjects, especially math, history, chemistry, computer science, and more. One of the mottoes I always remind myself to keep me motivated is “I strive for greatness” and I believe my character is built from this. And every time I try to procrastinate or go back to doom scrolling, I also say, “would you go through pain of progress or pain of regress” and I will snap back to reality. My hobbies include doing work, work and work and a bit of music and my dream is I wish 1 day can have 72 hours with humans still believing it's 24 hours, because I cannot fit all my goals in 1 day. My Idol is a fictional character Rocky Balboa which started from my mother's motivation “keep fighting everyday like Rocky Balboa and you will achieve your goal” and I even keep my ringtone as Rocky theme song.

• Caroline Liu

  Caroline is an 11-year old student in year 7 originally from Kunming China. She grew up believing that success only comes from steady hard working and dedication, which is why she enjoys challenging herself and attending competitions. She is sensitive with words and passionate about literature from a young age, winning a story-telling competition while still in kindergarten. As she grew older her passion for writing and public speaking deepened, and the opportunity to speak helped her grow more confident, including serving as a school house captain. Other interests include mathematics, history and debate. The opportunity to represent her school in a math competition and experiences have helped shape her personality. Caroline appreciated the Chinese saying, “Beyond every person there is someone greater, and beyond every mountain there is a higher one.” But she often said to herself, “Even if there is someone greater than you, you can learn from them and become a better person yourself.

• Katherine

  An IB Diploma student from Myanmar. Growing up with limited opportunities, she challenges herself by participating in school competitions and striving to improve academically/personally. She is passionate about medicine and volunteers in clinics and elderly homes in Myanmar. She worked as an IGCSE tutor to support others and is working to establish a medical club in Regent’s, reflecting her passion in medicine. Katherine enjoys music and creativity. She has played the piano and guitar throughout childhood and enjoys crafts like crocheting and sewing. To her, the most important things are to overcome self-doubt, take risks, and maintain a positive outlook to shape one’s experience and future. Through her talk, “The Cost of Never Questioning Culture”, she explores many aspects of culture are blindly accepted, focusing on how certain discriminations are embedded within. She hopes to encourage the audience to reflect and contribute to the future of cultures/diversity that serve humanity.

• Tamara Petrosyan

  Regent’s International School Bangkok Tamara Petrosyan is a 16-year-old student at Regent’s International School Bangkok. Born and raised in Moscow in an Armenian family and now living in Bangkok, she has grown up across three cultures. Alongside academics, Tamara is active in Model United Nations and has a passion for singing, both of which have strengthened her confidence in public speaking. As Head Student, she has developed leadership, communication, and responsibility while representing a diverse student body. Although fluent in Russian and Armenian, Tamara has learned that language alone does not guarantee belonging. In Russia, she stood out; in Armenia, she felt disconnected; and in Thailand, she adapted to a third identity. In her talk, Belonging Everywhere and Nowhere, Tamara explores what it means to grow up between cultures and challenges the idea that people must belong to only one place.

• Xiang Yan

  Chit Phoo Wathon, also known as Xiang Yan, is a 15-year-old student at Regent’s International School Bangkok, currently in Year 10. She has a strong desire about helping the community and creating a positive social impact. She also like exploring with various hobbies, such as playing musical instruments, creating art, and actively participating in opportunities that help her grow both academically and personally. She has a strong belief in the value of youth voices being heard and understood. Her talk, “Speaking but Not Heard,” explores the gap between being encouraged to speak up and actually being listened to. She uses both shared experiences among teenagers and her own personal journey, to highlight the gap between speaking up and truly being heard. Through this opportunity, she hopes to raise awareness and inspire the audience to consider how they can listen to and value the voices of young people in their daily lives.

• Zane

  Zane is an IB Diploma student studying in Bangkok with a strong interest in leadership and cultural identity. As a blue house captain and former vice captain, he has played an active role in leadership, while establishing Regents Rebuild Relief to support communities in Myanmar. Zane has developed a passion for creating meaningful changes in Regent’s. He is particularly interested in how identity plays an important role in how we see ourselves and brings people from diverse perspectives together. In his TEDX talk, Zane reflects on coming from a mixed background, with a Mon mother and Bamar father, that comes with challenges of feeling disconnected from his heritage. This is when he realised that he could not speak his own mother’s language. From his experience, he will talk about how he felt like an outsider within his own family and encourage the audience to embrace their own perspective and question the stereotypes that are often accepted without knowing the truth.
