    Akshay Chawda is one of India’s pioneering handpan artists and the creator behind the Anicca Project, exploring how sound and rhythm influence the human mind. In his session “Rhythm, Melody and Mind”, he will begin with a live handpan performance and then take the audience into Konnakkol, the South Indian rhythmic vocal tradition, through interactive rhythm exercises. More than a talk, it becomes a shared musical experience about rhythm, presence, and awareness.

    Dr. Meena Mishra is the Director at the Solid State Physics Laboratory, DRDO. With 34+ years in semiconductor innovation, she has pioneered GaAs and GaN MMIC technologies in India, powering critical systems like radars, RF seekers, and electronic warfare platforms. Her work has helped place India among only seven nations globally to possess GaN technology, strengthening the country’s capabilities in advanced defence electronics. With 120+ research publications in high-frequency electronics, she now leads frontier research in Terahertz and Quantum technologies, shaping the future of deep tech for national security.
