Jeffran Jake Aragon
Jeffran Jake P. Aragon is an Assistant Professor at Mapúa University and a licensed professional teacher specializing in English, Journalism, and Media Literacy. He integrates AI and digital tools into human-centered education and has represented the Philippines in Japan for AI and teacher education research. He is recognized as one of Mapúa University’s top-rated faculty members and advocates critical thinking, ethical tech use, and empowered communication.
John Paul Cruz
JP is a Computer Engineering Professor at Mapúa University. His academic work centers on AI applications, machine learning, embedded and microcontroller-based systems, and instructional technology integration. His interests lie in responsible and applied AI, intelligent systems, and technology-enhanced engineering education, with a commitment to advancing research, mentorship, and academic leadership.
Kristopher Ray Pamintuan
Dr. Kristopher Ray S. Pamintuan is Dean of the School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering and Sciences at Mapúa University and a registered chemical engineer specializing in renewable energy, bioelectrochemical systems, and sustainable waste-to-energy technologies, with award-winning research on microbial and plant-based fuel cells and 3D-printed energy devices.
Lora Lee Reboton
Dr. Lora Lee F. Reboton is a professor, academic consultant, and quality assurance leader in hospitality, tourism, and strategic management, combining industry experience and academic leadership as a PhD in Management graduate, post-doctoral scholar in Strategic Management and Leadership, AUN-QA and PAASCU-trained assessor, and Certified Hospitality Educator dedicated to innovation, service excellence, and future-ready education.
Louie Giray
Louie Giray is an assistant professor at the Department of Liberal Arts, School of Foundational Studies and Education, Mapua University. He’s involved in community and global initiatives, serving as a trustee at Simbayanan ni Maria Community Foundation and sitting on the advisory board of the Research Center for International and Global Higher Education at Khazar University, Azerbaijan. He’s also a research fellow at Shinawatra University, Thailand, and a proud member of the United Nations University Global AI Network and the Artificial Intelligence in Education at Oxford University. Louie actively publishes on AI in and for education. Before stepping into higher education, Louie started out as a grade school teacher, a role that shaped his passion for learning and teaching at every level.
Myrthylle Karen Rey
Myrthylle Karen Y. Rey is a postgraduate in Media Studies (Film) with more than sixteen years of varied experiences in different industries. Throughout the years, she have contributed to the private and government sectors through teaching in educational institutions and providing administrative assistance. She have also developed skills in coaching and entrepreneurship by creating modules, implementing workshops, writing, publishing, hosting live/online events, being a resource speaker and producing short films.
Nomar Alviar
Dr. Nomar Alviar is a seasoned medical educator and researcher with extensive experience in curriculum design, faculty development, and outcomes-based medical education. He has led major initiatives in research, digital transformation, and curriculum reform at Philippine universities, including his previous role as Vice President for Research & Innovation at San Beda University. At Mapúa University, he continues to shape the next generation of health professionals through teaching, mentorship, and program development.
Vladimir Villegas
Dr. Vladimir P. Villegas is an associate professor in physics and is a researcher. He finished his doctoral studies from UP Diliman and his research interest spans theoretical physics topics in microscale such quantum heat engines and refrigerators, spin and thermal transport in nanodevices, biophysics of different diseases, and white noise path integration. Apart from physics, Dr. Villegas enjoys playing the board game Go, which he uses to teach his students the spread of phenomena such as cancer and other diseases and mobility of people.
