• Aurora Leung-Vermette

  Hi I’m Aurora Leung-Vermette, and I’ve been extremely fortunate to join the TEDx speakers in my final year of grade 12! Coming from Walter Murray, I’ve had the opportunity to try things I love doing, such as badminton, art, and contributing to SRC. Outside of school, I love researching psychology and debating topics with friends, so I’m excited to delve into my interests through TEDx.

• Azra Benic

  Hello, my name is Azra Benić and I am excited to be a part of the TEDx team again this year. I am currently a junior at Walter Murray Collegiate in the SAGE program and this is my third year being a part of TEDx. Outside of school you can find me training hard, competing and enjoying life’s little gifts. I am excited to give a thought provoking speech this year that I hope can cause real change in our thoughts, actions and society/culture. My favourite part of TEDx is getting to collaborate with a variety of people to make thought provoking ideas come to life!

  Hi guys, my name is Benjamin Kvello and I’m so excited to be a speaker here at TEDx! I’m a grade 12 student at Walter Murray Collegiate who loves to paint in his free time! I’ve always loved learning about the world around me and discussing relevant subjects with friends, so I’m so excited to inspire others to think critically about their place in today’s society at TEDx!

• Ibrahim Hamada

  Hi everyone! My name is Ibrahim Hamada, and as part of this year’s TEDx event, I will be a speaker! As a Grade 11 student in the SAGE program at Walter Murray Collegiate, my passions lie in teaching public speaking, competing in debate tournaments, and simply learning about history and watching sports! Through my TEDx speech, I hope to emphasize youth perspectives on how society perceives productivity in rapidly evolving contexts.

• Noor-Eddin Mohamed

  Hi everyone! I’m Noor-Eddin Mohamed and I’m a speaker at this year’s TEDx event! I’m a grade 12 student at Walter Murray Collegiate and have always loved learning about linguistics! Outside of school, I work as a soccer referee and lifeguard/swim instructor and love biking and playing soccer with my friends in my free time! I’m so excited to inspire others to discover the inherent beauty in learning!

• Yashasvi Purohit

  Hi everyone! My name is Yashasvi Purohit, or Yace, and I’m excited to be a speaker at this year’s TEDxYouth event. I’m a Grade 11 student from Evan Hardy Collegiate with a strong interest in public speaking, neuroscience, biology, psychology, and calculus. I spend my time mentoring others and exploring subjects that fascinate me, and outside of school I enjoy chess, singing, and badminton. Through my TEDx talk, I hope to inspire others to recognize the brain’s incredible ability to grow and adapt, and to take small, intentional steps toward positive change.
