  Major General Yashpal Singh Mor, SM, is a third-generation Army officer from Baas village, Hisar, Haryana. Commissioned into 1 Guards in 1985, he served in UN peacekeeping in Mozambique (1993-94) and led counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir, earning the Sena Medal.
