Having witnessed the impact of limited healthcare access, Eva channels her experiences into her advocacy and research, with a vision to inspire change and increase access to quality care across Africa."

  • Kariua Mukuahima

    Law Student

    Kariua Mukuahima is a final year Law student at the University of Namibia. Her journey in the leadership sphere started in High School where she served as a Junior Council. In 2023 she was elected as a non voting member and a legal committee member in the student Parliament at the University of Namibia. In 2024 she served as a school of Laws Representative, Legal committee member of the Student Parliament, Secretary for Academic Affairs and Congress Executive Secretary for Academic Affairs, receiving accolades for the most resilient and most unflappable SRC that year. Moreover, apart from student leadership, she is the co-founder of the Immovables Charity Foundation Additionally, She currently serves as a media committee member of the RiVeKa Production Auction.

    Data Science Student

    Leonard T. Stefanus is a Bachelor of Science in Data Science student at the University of Namibia Main Campus and the Vice-President of the UNAM Geo-Information Science Society. Passionate about education, technology, and innovation, Leonard advocates for systems that empower Namibian youth to explore creativity beyond traditional academics. As a National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Ambassador, his work focuses on using data and innovation to bridge opportunity gaps and inspire

  • Mauricio Adelino

    Veterianary Physician

    Mauricio Adelino is a final-year Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Namibia with a strong interest in animal welfare legislation and a passion for leadership. He has served in student leadership roles at the University five times, reflecting his dedication to advocacy and representation. His current focus is on promoting animal welfare and expanding his understanding of public policy related to animal health and protection. Mauricio is particularly interested in how legislation can improve the treatment of animals in both rural and urban communities. He enjoys leading initiatives that promote responsible animal care and collaborating with others to drive positive change in veterinary public health.

    Monica Amukugo is a data science student at the University of Namibia and the founder of Kaya, an emerging tech startup based in Namibia. She is passionate about using data and innovation to create solutions that address real-world challenges in African communities. Through her work, Monica aims to solve big problems and build a future where technology leads.

  • Rachel Wanguru

    Radiography Graduate

    Rachel LN Wanguru is a Radiography graduate from the University of Namibia, Hage Geingob Campus. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is also a Nail Technician, DJ, and Poet. Balancing these diverse passions has taught her that success does not come from following just one path. A key realization for Rachel was that embracing multiple interests provided her with unique insights and a fresh perspective on problem-solving. In her TED talk, she aims to inspire others to explore the hidden strength of pursuing varied passions a strength that, while unconventional, holds the potential for extraordinary results. Her message is simple: do not limit yourself to one thing your passions are your superpower.

    Selma Kamanya is Miss World Namibia 2025, Miss Namibia 2018 an economist by profession, a big data technologist and an entrepreneur. She is a global ambassador, passionate about using her platform for growth and sustainable development in Namibia and on the world stage

  • Selma Ndasilohenda Iyambo

    Award Winning Podcaster

    Selma Ndasilohenda Iyambo is a -year-old multi- award-winning podcaster and the founder of Sex Talks Podcast. She is also a trained Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) facilitator with over seven years of experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Mental Health. In 2019, Selma received her Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) training through the Namibia Planned Parenthood Selma currently serves as the Podcast Coordinator at the #BeFree Youth Campus under the One Economy Foundation, where she produces podcasts focused on education, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, she holds the position of Her Voice Fund Ambassador to Namibia, working closely with community-based organizations to amplify the voices and leadership of Adolescent Girls and Young people from diverse backgrounds. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, with a specialization in Print and Digital Media, from the University of Namibia (UNAM).

  • Shepherd Nyambe

    Scientist, Innovator and Author

    At just 16, Shepherd invented The Shepherd Energy Saver, marking the start of his journey as a young African innovator. He has founded two impactful initiatives: the ShepThyGuru Initiative, a non-profit aimed at bridging the gap between innovators and partners, and ShepThyGuru Energy Sciences, a company dedicated to reducing carbon emissions through green hydrogen and biomass technologies. Shepherd's work has earned him numerous accolades, including the Young Scientist Award at the Regional University Forum (RUFORUM) for his research on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). He is also a Future Energy Leader recognized by the World Energy Council, and Namibia’s youngest published researcher. As a political science scholar at the University of Namibia, Shepherd continues to drive policy and innovation, contributing to Africa’s green energy transition.

  • Tererayi Panashe Chanakira

    Mechanical Engineerig Graduate

    Tererayi Panashe Chanakira is a Mechanical Engineering graduate and Trainee Engineer passionate about purpose-driven, practical solutions. He founded TheYouNetwork at the University of Namibia to connect young people with mentors in leadership, entrepreneurship, and public speaking. That work revealed a deep crisis among men. not of skill, but of character. This discovery inspired his talk, “Adam in 3D: Namibia’s Man-Vacuum,” which calls for a Mentor Economy built on accountability, presence, and redefined masculinity.
