  Hi, I’m Jack Chen — a student, an EDM lover, a Formula 1 enthusiast, an anime fan, and an esports player. The rhythm of music, the speed of racing, the imagination in anime, and the spirit of competition in gaming all shape who I am and how I see the world. To me, TEDx is more than just a talk; it’s a personal challenge. I’ve come to realize that what truly matters isn’t the absence of fear, but the willingness to move forward with it. Every step on this journey is a conversation between courage and vulnerability — and that’s where growth begins. Balancing my studies and passions, I’ve learned to embrace curiosity as my compass. Through this TEDx experience, I hope to share a piece of my story and remind others that fear doesn’t define us — it accompanies us. True courage, I believe, is not walking without fear, but walking with it, one step at a time.

  I am a Chinese girl with an insatiable curiosity for the world. I am driven to experience it for myself with bravery and an open heart. While barriers are inevitable, the thrill of trying always empowers me to overcome them. Exploration is indispensable to me. I find it marvelous when people are not content with merely seeing something, but persist in understanding it. Like learning a new hobby, I've tried many so-called fun things, but only a few truly resonate and compel me to dig deeper. I must admit, I am still floating on the surface of most of my enthusiasms, struggling to go further. "Dream" is another keyword of my life. I often harbor seemingly unrealistic dreams, fully aware of my own naivety. But I believe being childish is not a crime, and impossible dreams have a right to exist. This is why I choose to remain a child at heart. In short, I am a dreamer, constantly on the road trying new things, and striving to become a true explorer.

  My name is Zhao Siqi, and I also go by Skylar. I am currently studying at Chengdu No. 7 High School. As a student passionate about research, I enjoy interpreting the relatively complex thoughts behind people's behaviors through the dual perspectives of sociology and biology.I love thinking deeply - contemplating the underlying motivations behind social phenomena and how these motivations affect us personally. But I don't stop at thinking. Whenever I develop an idea, I verify it through what I call "micro-experiments." These are carefully designed, small-scale investigations conducted in natural settings. One particularly representative experiment involved completely stopping all digital interactions on social media for one week while continuously monitoring my own behavioral and psychological changes.

  I live my life at the intersection of curiosity and action. Whether I'm making a magazine, debating on stage, or organizing a charity event, I'm fueled by a desire to connect, understand, and make a tangible impact. You could say I have a tendency to get passionately, and sometimes recklessly, invested in the things I care about.Beyond the action, I find equal power in quiet reflection, often through poetry. The condensed emotion of a poem and the complex structures of society, which I plan to study in sociology, fascinate me equally. They are what I believe to be the two different lenses to bring me the most fascinating things about the world

  I’m a high school student who enjoys exploring the world through both ideas and experiences. To me, learning isn’t just about textbooks — it’s about discovering new ways of understanding people, ideas, and myself. One of the most meaningful experiences in my journey so far has been volunteering as a guide for visually impaired runners. At first, I didn’t fully understand the significance of what I was doing. I wondered why running mattered to someone who couldn’t see the track. But when we started running together, our footsteps fell into rhythm, and I realized that this wasn’t just about running — it was about trust, equality, and shared joy. My TED talk focuses on how seemingly small experiences can lead to profound realizations about ourselves and others. I want to continue exploring human connection. Whether through research, community work, or sharing stories, I hope to keep learning and growing alongside others.

  I’m student with a deep passion and clear vision for the field I’ll explore and share at TEDx. Raised by parents who work as doctors, their dedication has long inspired me—and this upbringing sparked a lasting curiosity about life itself, as well as the intricate workings of the human body. As I’ve grown older, I’ve been fortunate to turn that curiosity into action: I’ve seized real-world volunteering opportunities and delved into focused study in this area, each experience only fueling my enthusiasm further. In late 2023, I uncovered a new passion: psychology and neuroscience. I’m fascinated by how the brain responds to diverse internal and external stimuli, and how those responses shape our understanding of emotions and motives. To share this interest, I’m planning to launch a YouTube channel, where I’ll break down my recent learnings in neuroscience and highlight intriguing psychological facts. This channel will serve as the primary inspiration.
