Public speaking and debating are central to life at Eaton Square Prep School. We believe that confident and thoughtful communication prepares our pupils not just for senior school, but for life. TEDx is part of our strategy. In this year's seventh annual TEDx event at Eaton Square Prep School, the theme is 'The Bigger Picture'. This theme encourages our young speakers to look beyond what is immediately obvious and to think more deeply about the world around them. Together, their talks remind us that sometimes the most important ideas are not the loudest or the most visible, but the ones we take the time to notice. Including this event, our annual TEDx programme has given thirty-five pupils in Years 5 and 6 the chance to speak on a global platform. This also includes five Eaton Square Prep School pupils who spoke at TEDxYouth@DPL in 2020. Each Summer Term, the pupils present their talks live at St Michael’s Church in Westminster, London. Talks are submitted to TEDx and shared worldwide on YouTube.
