With deep experience in mental health and child welfare, she illuminates the connection between personal healing and systemic transformation. Known for her clarity, compassion, and ability to translate complex concepts into life-changing tools, Dr. Carol helps people reclaim their voice, expand their vision, and embody their true worth. Hena Doba is the weekend morning anchor at NewsNation and a veteran journalist whose work spans CBS, Cheddar, and national breaking-news coverage. She has reported and anchored across pivotal moments in American life, moderated high-level civic conversations, and guest-hosted thought-leadership events including 92NY’s State of America Summit. Jose Rivera
Founder, HOPENEARME
Jose Rivera is the founder of HOPENEARME, a mobile food pantry that brings groceries directly into underserved neighborhoods in the Bronx, eliminating barriers like transportation, long lines, and the stigma of accessing food assistance. Drawing from his own childhood experience with food insecurity and later as a parent unable to adequately provide for his children, Jose transformed personal trauma into community action. Through the Virtual Café Podcast, he creates spaces for authentic conversations about resilience, dignity, and what it means to build systems that truly serve people. Jose’s mission is rooted in the belief that no family should have to choose between eating and dignity, and that help should come to people where they are, not after bureaucratic delays.
Keshav Harpavat
High School Junior
Keshav Harpavat is a high school junior at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, Texas. He is passionate about addressing pressing community issues through innovative solutions rooted in connection and creativity. As the founder of two established, youth-led organizations, Pipes for the People and Math Made Simple, Keshav works to reduce disparities in healthcare and education by empowering youth to take action around the world. Outside of this work, he enjoys playing soccer, competing nationally in debate, conducting scientific research, and performing with his bagpipes.
Kimmi Berlin
Founder
Kimmi Berlin is a published author, writing coach, storyteller, and the founder of Build Up Boys, a nonprofit that equips young boys with the tools they need to retain their innate emotional intelligence. She began telling stories on stage at The Moth, winning several StorySLAMS, going on to perform a one-woman show at FringeNYC. She adapted her show into a memoir that was published by Dutton/ NAL. Kimmi then spent the following decade helping other people tell their stories. In recent years, she has performed stories at “Listen to Your Mother” at SOPAC; "The Porch" at Kaatsbaan; "Late Night Storytelling" hosted by Ophira Eisenberg at the Nantucket Film Festival; and Cat Greenleaf’s “Storyhour” at the Algonquin Hotel. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, CNN, Good Housekeeping, Salon, and POPSUGAR. She also interviews leading researchers, educators, and thought leaders working on boys' emotional development through the Build Up Boys podcast.
Latavia Lee
Director, Learning & Practice Proficiency
Ms. Lee comes to TEDx Graham with over 20 years experience partnering with children, youth, and families. She started her career straight out of college with a degree in English Language Arts. She always thought she'd be a teacher of sort, but started her career as a Case Planner engaging families toward safe reunification. After several years, on the ground doing the work, she obtained her MSW degree from Silberman School of Social Work focusing on Organizational Leadership. She went on to obtain her MSW license and coaching certification through International Coaching Federation . Ms. Lee is also the owner of HealThy Temple Fitness & Wellness Coaching LLC. Inspired by personal struggles with weight and wellness, she became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy for Sport Medicine. Her goal is help foster change through building relationships that are rooted in compassion, empathy, psychological safety.

My name is Luke Childs, and I am currently a junior in high school studying abroad through SYA (School Year Abroad) in Spain, but I live in Bedford, New York. I love taking advantage of any opportunity that encourages me to grow, especially activities which involve human-to-human interaction. I am particularly interested in public speaking because I believe it creates a collaborative yet educational space where ideas converge, inspiring meaningful conversations that foster deeper understanding across diverse perspectives.

She holds a master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, blending expertise in human behavior and service excellence. When she’s not driving organizational change, Marcella enjoys engaging in spirited conversations, exploring, and bringing creative projects to life. Michelle Rose is an accomplished speaker, project manager, and data analytics professional with over a decade of multidisciplinary experience across financial services, the performing arts, and wellness. She currently manages global sustainability data initiatives and oversees enterprise project portfolios, blending strategic leadership with technical expertise to drive data-informed decision-making. Previously, she managed national and international performing arts tours, including productions featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ira Glass, Sasheer Zamata, and American Ballet Theatre, experiences that sharpened her strengths in project management and operational excellence. I was once a foster child, later became a foster parent, and now serve as a Family Advocate living proof of how full-circle healing can look. Having stood on every side of the system, I carry an intimate understanding of its impact, its gaps, and its possibilities. I’ve learned that mirroring someone’s story is not about the clarity of the reflection, but about recognizing the clouds that formed it and still choosing compassion. This lived experience shapes how I advocate: with truth, grace, and an unwavering belief in family restoration.

Born and raised in Brazil, Sil is a gifted storyteller and passionate about the cultural aspects of relationships. With 30 years of industry experience, including Global Business Lead and Evangelist at Google NY and Head of Strategy at WPP ad agencies in SP and Miami, Sil left the corporate world to focus on her company, STORY by Sil Curiati. There, she helps people Talk the Walk© by developing their ability to leverage their superpowers. Sil lives in the US with her husband, CJ, and two amazing rescue dogs, Ringo Starr and Bella Bowie, and is pursuing her Master’s degree in Psychology at Harvard.
