The theme for 2025 TEDxHongikU is 'Ecdysis'. Like an animal that sheds its old skin to grow, 'Ecdysis' represents the transformation that moves beyond familiar frameworks and toward new possibilities. Amidst rapidly advancing technology, unquestioned societal norms, and a culture intolerant of failure, we often confront the relentless expectations and demands placed upon us. Even changes that once felt like a positive start can, in this overwhelming current, trap us in a state of pressure and ambiguous fear. This change itself can become yet another set of standards and burdens that weigh us down. Faced with this reality, how do we move forward? In 2025, TEDxHongikU aims to explore the path ahead. We want to discuss 'Ecdysis' as the most natural form of growth for a better future, and as the very courage that makes this new beginning possible.
