  Skydiver

  Rachel Thomas’s spontaneous decision in 1979,opened doors into the world of skydiving, where she went on to break the glass ceiling in Indian Aerosports and place the country on the global skydiving map. From representing the country at International competitions,to being an International Judge in her sport and finally a Delegate at the International Parachuting Commission’s, Rachel's journey reflects her courage, discipline and determination. One of her most defining moments came in 2002 when she skydived on the North Pole and hoisted the Indian Tricolour flag at point Zero.For her extraordinary contributions in the field of skydiving, she has been honoured with the National Adventure Award in 1994, the Padma Shri in 2005, and the prestigious Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) Air Sports Medal in 2025, making her life a powerful reminder that belief, grit, and the courage to take the first leap can make the sky truly LIMITLESS.
