This event is dedciated to creating a space where we'll discuss the future of Toronto and Canada across different facets of issues which impact us: health, Indigenous groups, finance, and education, as well as members of the Toronto community leading innovations in technology and business.

  • Ben Watsa

    Ben Watsa is CEO, CIO, and founder of Marval Capital Ltd., an India-focused firm founded in 2017 in Toronto. Marval manages the Marval Guru Fund (AUM $400M+), one of the largest small- and mid-cap India funds managed outside India and among Canada’s best-performing since its 2019 launch. Earlier, he spent 5+ years in investment banking (Banc of America Securities and Cochran Caronia Waller), then 11 years at Lissom Investment Management as Partner and Portfolio Manager, running its small- and mid-cap global equity strategy for six years, then six years as a sub-advisor at Marval. He chairs Fairfax India, is a director of Fairfax Financial, advises Impression Ventures, and is director emeritus and former vice chair of the Rideau Hall Foundation’s Investment Committee. Honors include the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2025) and Top 50 Under 50 Indo-Canadian leaders (2023); member, YPO.

  • Mair Greenfield

    Mair Greenfield is an Indigenous education leader and member of Kebaowek First Nation whose career spans post-secondary education, nonprofit technology, and Indigenous foodways. She currently serves as Director at the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund and has held leadership roles at Canadore College’s First Peoples’ Centre, Nourish Leadership, and the Rumie Initiative. With a background in criminal justice from Canadore College and Nipissing University, Mair is dedicated to advancing reconciliation, community-driven learning, and the integration of traditional knowledge—such as viewing food as medicine—into holistic education.

  • Sarah Naomi Shaw

    Dr. Sarah Naomi Shaw is a physician, developmental psychologist, and Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Lume Women + Health, a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to supporting midlife women’s health. She spent over 15 years in family medicine in downtown Toronto, including serving as Chair of the Board of Directors at Taddle Creek Family Health Team. Holding a medical degree from McMaster University and a doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, Dr. Shaw is dedicated to redefining menopause care through comprehensive midlife health assessments that address the biopsychosocial realities of women’s lives.
