  Ali likes to speak in public; he is quite confident. He likes videogames and spending time chatting with his friends. His talk is about "Déjà vu", a phenomenon that presents itself at any time and to anyone, and is really a mystery of the mind.

  Amin likes to speak. He also loves to play soccer. For many, it's just a sport. But for him, it's a vital part of growing up, which is why he chose to speak about "The Importance of Football in Adolescence".

  It's not Anabella's first appearance at a TEDx event. This time, she chose to do her talk in Spanish, reflecting on how to remain calm when the people who surround us tend to want to change our own rhythm. She titled it "Cómo proteger tu paz en este mundo caótico".

  Hassan likes to speak in public and does it quite often when participating in our school's Model United Nations. He loves robotics and has won awards during international competitions, along with his teammates. His talk is about "Déjà vu", a phenomenon that presents itself at any time and to anyone.

  Matteo is pretty confident when speaking in public. He has participated in a TEDx event before, and always enrolls to compete in any Spelling Bee contest that comes his way. In this year's speech, titled "Never Give Up!", he reminds us that resilience is a superpower we all have inside us.

  Maya likes to spend time with her friends and hang out at the beach, close to which she lives. She comes to tell us not to worry about talking to ourselves, that we are not alone in this - big - group of people who do the same, and that it's actually a sign of intelligence.

• Rodrigo Pamparato

  Rodrigo already has some experience as a TEDx speaker. This year, he decided to talk about bullying and how it can affect our everyday life. His talk, "The Cycle of the Mirror", states that sometimes, the most important thing we can look at is our own reflection. Showing empathy and taking a break to think about what we are doing (as a bully) or noticing (as a witness of an act of bullying) is key.

  Sofía is participating in her fourth TEDx Event. She finds her interest in all sorts of topics. This time, she asks: "In a world where we are always busy, could doing nothing actually be the secret to success?" with her talk titled "The Power of Strategic Boredom".
