Yagna Sahapathi
Yagna Sahapathi is a prosthetic make-up artist, sculptor, and animal-rights advocate whose work examines how power shapes the lives of those made invisible by culture and conditioning. Her TED talk explores how we are taught from childhood to see animals as objects—sources of milk, labour, entertainment—and how that mindset becomes the root of injustice. Through creative work, field visits, and personal storytelling, she reveals the quiet, everyday ways animals are controlled, separated, and used. Yagna uses her artistic training not to create illusions, but to remove them—inviting audiences to question the familiar and rethink what justice and responsibility truly mean not just for humans but for all animals.
