• Jinjiang Cui

  Cui Jinjiang, PhD, Research Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. Director, Laboratory of Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Technologies, Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Member, National Technical Committee on Optics and Photonics Standardization; Expert Reviewer for Innovative Medical Devices; Member, Human Factors Engineering Committee of the China Association for Medical Devices Industry; Standing Committee Member, Perioperative Rehabilitation Branch of the Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Core Research Professor appointed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Honors include National March 8th Red-Banner Holder, member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, recipient of the Jiangsu Provincial Double Innovation Talent Program, Jiangsu “333” High-Level Talent Program, and Jiangsu Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker.

• Lanrong Qiao

  Qiao Lanrong is a Suzhou Printmaking Artist, Provincial-Level Representative Inheritor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Project “Taohuawu Woodblock New Year Prints” and Senior Craft Artist. Born in November 1982, Qiao Lanrong is a member of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a member of the Jiusan Society. For nearly 20 years, she has been engaged in the creation, research, and cultural exchange of Taohuawu Woodblock New Year Prints. She is skilled in the complete traditional process of painting, carving, and printing. Her works have been collected by China National Arts and Crafts Society, Suzhou Museum, the Grand Canal Museum, China Agricultural Museum, Suzhou Art Museum, Suzhou Arts and Crafts Industry Association, as well as universities in China and abroad and diplomatic missions.

• Lingyun Yu

  Lingyun Yu is a Senior Associate Professor at the School of Advanced Technology at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China, and leads the Interactive Visualization Technologies research group. She received her PhD from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her research focuses on data visualization, extended reality, and human-computer interaction. She has published over 100 academic papers and has served as Principal Investigator for both the NSFC Young Scientists Fund and the NSFC General Program. Her work has been recognized with the IEEE VIS 2024 SciVis Test-of-Time Award, as well as an Honorable Mention for Best Paper at IEEE VIS and the Best Paper Award at ACM CHI, the premier conferences in visualization and human–computer interaction. Dr. Yu currently serves as an Executive Committee Member of Eurographics, a committee member of CSIG-VIS, CCF-CAD/CG, and CCF-HCI, and an Associate Editor for several international journals.

• Marc Aurel Schnabel

  Professor Marc Aurel Schnabel explores how emerging technologies, AI, XR, and digital twins, can help us see cities with greater clarity and empathy. His work bridges design, computation, and human experience to reveal the hidden patterns that shape the ways we live. As Dean of the Design School at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, he leads initiatives that unite innovation with reflection, showing how technology can support people, place, and possibility. His research invites us to slow down, look deeper, and imagine urban futures built with intention, care, and curiosity.

• Wencan Wang

  Wang Wencan is an alumnus of the 2008 cohort of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University/the University of Liverpool, where he earned a BSc in Computer Science, and holder of a Master’s degree from University College London (UCL). He is currently the Founder and CEO of Hecbert Information Technology, and has been recognized as the founder of a Shanghai key incubated startup and a Gusu Leading Talent in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He serves as Minister of the Youth Federation Division of the 3rd Youth Committee of the Shanghai Western Returned Scholars Association, a representative of returned overseas entrepreneurs in Shanghai, an Outstanding Young Representative recognized by the United Front Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, a Senior Industry Mentor at Shanghai Normal University, Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Branch of the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Alumni Association, and an External Mentor.

• Xiaosong Bi

  Bi Xiaosong, known on air as “Lao Bi,” is a famous presenter and director at Suzhou Broadcasting System. He previously worked as a reporter at China Media Group (CMG) and brings over 30 years of experience in the media industry. He serves as a guest lecturer at the Talent Training Centre of the National Radio and Television Administration, a council member of the Suzhou Recitation Association, and a Public Legal Awareness Ambassador for the Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice. Over the past three decades, he has hosted a wide range of professional radio and television programs. His honours include the title of Outstanding Journalist of Suzhou and the Suzhou May Day Labor Medal. His radio, television, and film productions have received numerous national, provincial, and municipal awards.

• Xuetun Zhao

  Zhao Xuetun, known online as “Vitamin Riding a Waterbird,” serves as Secretary-General of the Suzhou Industrial Park Photographers Association. He began learning photography on his own in 2014 and now works as an independent producer and photographer. He is a contributing photographer for Visual China, 8KRAW, and the Institute for Planets, and a contributor to China National Geographic. He also works as a contracted photographer for the provincial Cyberspace Administration and the provincial Radio and Television Administration. In 2024, he appeared as a guest on the Suzhou episode of CCTV’s travel documentary series Far Away Home. His works have been widely featured by People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and China Central Television.

• Yezhou Jin

  Jin Yezhou is an alumnus of the 2014 cohort of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University/the University of Liverpool, where he earned a BSc in Biological Science and holds an MSc in Viral Pathology from Imperial College London and currently serves as Director of the Nature Centre and Curriculum Director at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Affiliated School. His work focuses on curriculum system development, learning space design, and school brand building. The AS Nature Centre, which he founded, has gradually developed into an important experiential learning platform for the school’s basic education programmes. It aims to translate the educational philosophy of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University into practical approaches for school-level education and to provide a real-world reference for related educational innovation.

• Yunfei Ji

  Ji Yunfei currently serves as the Party Secretary and Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Museums Association, Vice Chair of the Zhejiang Cultural Relic Protection and Utilization Association and Chair of the Cultural Heritage Digitalization and Museum Development Committee of the Zhejiang Cultural Relic Protection and Utilization Association. He is a national young cultural celebrity, director, and expert in cultural tourism planning. Specializes in museum construction, exhibition design, and cultural relic appraisal. He leads the "CLOUD ZJMUSE" smart project, which has received several provincial and ministerial honors. His research and practice primarily focus on the intersection of culture and tourism, resulting in numerous influential publications in these fields.

• Zheng Chen

  Chen Zheng is a Professor of Soil Environmental Science at Department of Health and Environmental Sciences, School of Science at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. His research focuses on element migration and transformation at sediment micro-interfaces, as well as interdisciplinary studies spanning aquatic environmental science, analytical chemistry, and ecology. His work aims both to develop innovative research tools for complex environmental systems and to design nature-based, sustainable solutions for ecological protection and climate change. He received degrees in Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Agricultural Chemistry from Peking University, Research Centre for Eco Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Hokkaido University. He has also held short-term visiting appointments at Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lancaster University, and Duke Kunshan University.
