  S. Prabhakaran is an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) currently serving as Deputy Director, CBIC. His work focuses on detecting complex tax evasions and strengthening enforcement within India’s indirect tax system. He has served in customs and GST formations across India. He is also a World Customs expert in combating Illegal Wildlife Trade and contributes to international efforts to combat illegal wildlife trade, and has been appreciated by WCO Secretary General for his efforts and professionalism. He is deeply interested in governance, public policy, international cooperation and environmental conservation.

• Mr. Smarak Swain

  Smarak Swain is an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and an author specializing in taxation, financial investigations, and economic policy. A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, he holds a Master’s degree in Taxation and Business Laws from NALSAR University. Swain has worked extensively in tax administration, transfer pricing, and corporate investigations. He has authored several books and articles on finance, governance, and tax transparency, contributing to publications such as The Economic Times, Mint, and Asia Times.
