• Adel Azouni

  Adel Azouni is a PhD Student in geology at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, an environmental and climate change advisor, and a committed advocate for nature. His work lies at the intersection of scientific research, social innovation, and inclusive climate action. Adel is also a author of the collective book Sud en mouvement , which highlights the commitment of young Tunisians to the environment. Previously, he was the artistic director of the 18th edition of the Chenini Mediterranean Film Festival in Gabès, and host of the radio program "Eco-responsable" on Radio Misk, dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues. Winner of the 2024 African Activism Award by African Rising and recognized by the UNDP as a young Arab leader for climate, he works to connect science, culture and territories to bring about climate solutions rooted in the South.

• Arij Hamdouni

  Arij Hamdouni is an inspiring Tunisian content creator recognized as the first Deaf YouTuber in Tunisia and the Arab region. She lost her hearing and speech at a very young age, around four years old, due to a medical error, and chose to transform this challenge into a powerful story of resilience and creativity. Through her active presence on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, she shares positive and hopeful content that raises awareness about the Deaf community. Arij uses her videos to introduce hearing audiences to sign language, foster greater inclusion, and challenge social perceptions about disability. Her message is clear and consistent: disability is not a barrier to achieving dreams, but a source of strength, self-confidence, and perseverance.

• Bochra Fourti

  Bochra is the founder of Heya Stories, a storytelling platform that brings together a children's book collection and a podcast. She is a children's author, podcast host, and entrepreneur focused on representation and storytelling. She creates books that highlight Arab and Amazigh women who shaped history, making their stories visible to younger generations. Through her podcast, she interviews contemporary Arab and Amazigh women, bringing forward new narratives and perspectives. She believes that the stories we tell children shape not only who they become, but the world they will create.

• Colin Spurway

  Colin Spurway is a dad, a husband, a runner, a gardener, a tea snob, a frisbee coach, a rather talented pomegranate photographer, and dreams of being a vegetarian. At times, he combines several (but not quite all) of these activities at once. When it comes to his professional life he trained as an actor, was briefly a sailor, and these days leads mass media projects across the MENA region for the BBC's international development charity - BBC Media Action. Colin grew up in the rain in Scotland, has since lived in a lot of countries with more sun, and now has a lovely little home in Carthage with his family and a pair of tortoises called Thunder and Lightning who have a rather tempestuous relationship.

• Hayfe Chamkhi

  Hayfe Chamkhi is a wildlife ecologist dedicated to safeguarding biodiversity and strengthening the connection between nature and local communities. She holds a Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Ecology & Evolution from Georg-August University of Göttingen and has led conservation initiatives across Tunisia, North Africa, and Mongolia, with a special focus on predator ecology, pollinator ecology, and dryland ecosystems. As co-founder and project manager of of the Tunisian NGO North African Wild Traces (NAWT), formerly ATRAkouda, she develops participatory biodiversity monitoring programs and builds partnerships with international conservation organizations.

• Layla Riahi

  Dr. Lalya Riahi is a Tunisian architect, university professor, and researcher. She is a founding member of the Tunisian Observatory of the Economy and of the Working Group for Food Sovereignty. She is also a member of the Secretariat of the Sovereignty Network, a member of the Advisory Board of the Arab Forum for Alternatives, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Social and Solidarity Economy Network in the Middle East and North Africa. She is deeply engaged with issues related to alternative economics and social change in Tunisia and the region.

• Leila Ben-Gacem

  Leila Ben Gacem, is a trailblazing Tunisian social entrepreneur. She is the visionary founder of Blue Fish, a company established in 2006 with a noble mission: to empower artisans, particularly women, by helping them export their creations and nurturing their businesses. The pinnacle of her achievements came in 2017 when Leila Ben Gacem was honored with the prestigious Fatima al-Fihriya award in Kairouan. Simultaneously, she earned the well-deserved title of Cultural Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, affirming her pivotal role in the cultural tapestry of Tunisia.

• Maha Mouelhi

  Maha Mouelhi is a farmer, agroecology trainer, and founder of Zerriaa, which means “seeds.” Through Zerriaa, she works with farmers, communities, and young people across Tunisia and beyond to regenerate soils, grow healthy food, and rebuild the relationship with nature through agroecology and permaculture.

• Molka Kamergi

  Molka Kamergi is a 4th-year veterinary student and the creator of “The Vet Diaries.” She turns complex topics like zoonoses, animal welfare, and wildlife conservation into powerful, accessible content. Her work challenges misinformation and sparks critical awareness. Driven by purpose, she uses her platform to amplify the voice of animals. Education, for her, is a form of activism.

• Sophien Kamoun

  Sophien Kamoun grew up in Tunisia, where his curiosity about nature first took root. He studied genetics in Paris and at UC Davis, and later worked in Wageningen, Ohio, and Norwich, where he is now Senior Scientist at The Sainsbury Laboratory and Professor of Biology at the University of East Anglia. He is internationally recognized for major discoveries in plant diseases and immunity, and for developing new ways to tackle devastating crop pathogens. A leading advocate of open science, he promotes preprints, open data, and transparent peer review. Kamoun is also a Fellow of the Royal Society, recipient of major awards including the Linnean Medal and Kuwait Prize, and co-founder of Resurrect Bio and the nonprofit GetGenome.

• Touka Askri

  Touka Askri is a Tunisian violinist and performer known for blending emotion, storytelling, and contemporary artistic expression through music.
