TEDxFiveForks Youth is a TEDx event led by youth, for youth. As Upstate South Carolina’s first TEDx Youth Event, we aim to provide a platform for young voices to share their ideas worth spreading. Our event will be composed of youth speakers from a background diverse in thought, stories, and ideas. We will amplify youth voices, inspire our community, and empower the next generation of leaders to shed light on their distinctive experiences and innovative perspectives on the challenges of both today and tomorrow. TEDxFiveForks Youth is led by fifteen high school students from across Upstate South Carolina, strongly dedicated to helping their community and making a difference. Founded by Amanda de Leon, a current junior at Christ Church Episcopal School, TEDxFiveForks Youth was formed to amplify the voices of the youth in the Greater Greenville community. As a result, de Leon formed a team of dedicated students who have been working behind the scenes to make this event come to life—an event led by youth, for youth. Together, the TEDxFiveForks Youth Team represents and aims to inspire youth empowerment throughout the community, striving to make a bigger difference while serving their purpose.
