  • Dr Joyce Yu

    Dr Joyce Yu is the co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Consent Labs, a not-for-profit that works to end sexual violence in Australia through the delivery of consent and respectful relationships education. She co-founded Consent Labs in 2016, and the organisation has educated over 100,000 people nationally since then. Joyce and her Co-Founder, Angelique Wan, were named the 2024 Commonwealth Bank SmallBiz Week Social Entrepreneurs of the Year, recognised on the 2023 Forbes Asia 30 under 30 list and 2022 40 Most Influential Asian-Australian list as the winners of the community and advocacy category. Beyond her work at Consent Labs, Joyce is a junior doctor in NSW with a strong commitment to gender equity, diversity, and inclusion. She has been involved in researching the impacts of pregnancy and parenthood on surgical training in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Additionally, she has a keen interest in medical education, particularly in leveraging social media to communicate evidence-based information in engaging and accessible ways.

  • Laurence Marshbaum OAM

    Laurence Marshbaum OAM is the Co-Founder of Community Capital. Community Capital is a social impact asset management firm that aligns investments in Private Markets with community based impact outcomes. Community Capital recently raised the $674M Community Capital Credit Fund, which will distribute over $5.3M in grants to early-stage Australian Social Purpose Organisations. Prior to co-founding Community Capital with Australian financial services firm Barrenjoey, Laurence was a SeniorPortfolio Manager at the Australian Retirement Trust (Sunsuper) overseeing the funds $4bn allocation to Alternative Investments, and prior to that held senior roles in Investment firms in London and NewYork. In 2013 Laurence founded 10x10 Philanthropy following a life-long affiliation with communal involvement and philanthropy, having served on the boards of several not for-profits in Australia and theUK. 10x10 has grown from Sydney around the world supporting early-stage social purpose organisations to connect with donors and networks to help them grow. Since inception 10x10 have engaged over 19 thousand donors and volunteers, platformed over 400 leaders and SPOs, and influenced distribution of over $8.15M to SPOs in its ecosystem. In June 2022 Laurence received theOrder of Australia Medal for Service to Community. Laurence has been a key-note speaker at theNexus Global Youth Summit at the United Nations in New York, and the Social Good Summit inAustralia, and has been featured on several “social impact” podcasts and books. He is an advocate for new models of social impact, venture philanthropy and effective giving.

  • Linda Royal

    Linda Royal is alive because a brave individual saw wrongdoing and danger; and went against the crowd, risking his life and that of his young family to rescue 6,000 strangers from certain death during the Holocaust - her father and grandparents included. A copywriter by profession, and mow a novelist, she has now devoted her life to perpetuating his memory in book and film and aims to make Chiune Sugihara a household name like Spielberg did for Schindler. Her book is heartily endorsed by Thomas Keneally (Schindler’s List). She regularly talks about this work and in particular - the power of one person to affect significant change.
