• Aigerim Aituarova

  President of Atyrau Open Toastmasters

  A highly experienced educator and communications professional with a strong background in English language instruction and public speaking. With over 7 years in the field, Aigerim has worked across academic and corporate settings as an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher and IELTS trainer. She currently serves as the President of Atyrau Open Toastmasters, where she leads initiatives to develop confident speakers and foster a culture of leadership. Her career includes roles with institutions such as Linguagrad Academy, Dastan Education, and InterRes Central Asia, where she delivered language training to university students and corporate professionals. Known for her dynamic teaching style and deep commitment to learner success, Aigerim brings expertise in communication, cross-cultural engagement, and personal development. She is passionate about empowering others through language, education, and the power of voice.

• Altynay Karatayeva

  Head of English Department at NIS Atyrau

  She was born in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, on March 31, 1988. She studied at the Technical Gymnasium and later graduated from Atyrau State University. Since 2013, she has been working as an English teacher at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Atyrau, where she strives to inspire her students to learn, think critically, and view the world from new perspectives. In addition to teaching, she is a dedicated debate coach, helping young people develop their voices, challenge ideas, and express themselves with confidence. She is also passionate about educational research and actively participates in international conferences, where she shares her experiences and learns from educators around the world. TEDx marks her first experience as a speaker, and she is excited to share her journey, her passion for teaching, and her belief that education connects people, ideas, and opportunities.

• Nurbolat Kuanysh

  Head of Quality Assurance and Control at NCOC

  A highly experienced quality expert with over 20 years in the oil and gas construction industry, specializing in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC). Currently contributing to the development of the Kashagan Oilfield as part of the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) team. Proven track record in managing complex QA/QC processes, overseeing construction and commissioning phases, and ensuring compliance with international standards and safety regulations. Deeply familiar with the challenges of large-scale offshore and onshore projects in high-stakes environments, and committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable development in the energy sector.

• Talshyn Nazhimova

  Kazakh Cultural Artist, Ethnographic Traditions Specialist & Project Pioneer

  An Honored Cultural Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan with 43 years of experience in the arts. She specializes in Kazakh-language performance and traditional cultural expression. As the author of the first nationwide project to theatrically present Kazakh ethnographic customs at celebratory events, she pioneered their integration into traditional Kazakh festivities. She is also recognized as the first Kazakh woman to perform solo songs accompanied by guitar.

• Yasin Shinybekov

  Traveller, videographer of Atyrau Nomads travel club

  Yasin is a member and videographer of the local travel club Atyrau Nomads. He’s been traveling since 2021. Traveled the whole of Kazakhstan. In the summer of 2024, with his family, he went from Atyrau to Paris by car and visited 13 countries in 35 days. Yasin has traveled around 20000 km total, and the number is increasing.
