TEDxYouth@JLHS 2025 is a student-led celebration of ideas, imagination, and insight. It is a platform created for youth to challenge convention and inspire change. Our event theme is “Explore, Expand, Empower,” and this year, we bring 12 speakers from diverse backgrounds. They explore topics ranging from personal growth to emotion issues to science of nature… TEDxYouth@JLHS is more than a series of speeches. It's a space for conversations to grow, ideas to collide, and minds to awaken. In a world of constant change, TEDxYouth@JLHS invites its audience to listen bravely, think deeply, and imagine boldly.

  • Hongyi Shangguan

    Hongyi Shangguan is a student at Jinling High School. While many of his peers are buried in test prep, he chooses to ride his bike outdoors, chasing the wind — and his own rhythm.

  • Meichen Liu

    Meichen Liu a Senior 3 student at Jinling High School — which means group projects have been a part of her life for the past three years. When it comes to balancing friendship and teamwork, she’s developed some unique insights.

  • Ruiping He

    Ruining He is a student at Jinling High School with a deep love for physics. This time, she’s taking the stage to explore one of science’s biggest questions: the shape of the universe.

  • Runjia Yin

    Runjia Yin is a student at Jinling High School with a special passion for cars and Formula 1 racing. She hopes to share the excitement of automobiles with a wider audience.

  • Ruoqing Xu

    Ruoqing Xu is a Senior 1 student at Jinling High School. She’s a creative writer who loves horror movies and contemporary poetry. In her talk, she will explore why fiction matters.

  • Shengtong Yan

    Shengtong Yan is a senior 2 student in Jinling High School. She owns her own Ceramic Club and has very special painting style. She is interested thinking about everything she observes. This time, Jinling High School's policies gave her a lot to think about.

  • Wanqi Huang

    Wanqi Huang is a Senior 3 student at Jinling High School with a deep passion for psychology, which led her to join the HOSA committee. In her talk, she invites everyone to find their own path and break free from the high school rat race.

  • Xinnuo Xu

    Xinnuo Xu is a student at Jinling High School. She’s an active member of the Student Council and excels at both writing and dancing.

  • Yun Liu

    Yun Liu is a Senior 3 student at Jinling High School. She used to have a people-pleasing personality, which has given her a lot to reflect on over the past three years. In her talk, she will share insights on codependent relationships and the path to recovery.

  • Yutong Lu

    Yutong Lu is a Senior 1 student at Jinling High School. She’s fascinated by the patterns hidden in nature — like the intricate design of human language.

  • Yuxuan Kang

    Yuxuan Kang is a student at Jinling High School who dreams of traveling the world one day. He believes that language and thought have the power to change the world. A passionate reader of English, he sometimes finds his love for deep reading gets in the way of finishing reading tests on time. After some exploration, he came up with a strategy to balance both.

  • Zhengyang Zhu

    Zhengyang Zhu is a student at Jinling High School. His classmates once nicknamed him "Piggy" because of his weight. But when he was 11, basketball changed his life. He developed a passion for the game, earned numerous awards, and started creating his own legend.
