Aaliyah Nestoridis
First nations campaigner
Aaliyah is a young and proud Whadjuk Nyoongar yorga from Boorloo (Perth, Western Australia), deeply passionate about her First Nations culture and heritage. She is a Culbong Parfitt who descends from multiple tribes within the Nyoongar nation, in the southwest of Australia. Her Indigenous family mostly originate from Narrogin. Aaliyah carries both Maori and Macedonian ethnicity as well.
Crystal Lee
Musician
Crystal is a 16 year-old musician who regularly plays for orchestras around Perth, Western Australia. She has been the harpist for orchestras such as Fremantle Chamber Orchestra, the West Australian Youth Orchestra, MetSO, and OpusWA, and was a flute soloist with Allegri Chamber Orchestra 2025. She also released her debut single “Gardenia” in August and will be soon be releasing her new single “If Walls”.
Dawn Thomas
Financial Adviser
Dawn is a Financial Adviser and self-professed superannuation nerd. From 2020 to 2025 she was listed in Financial Standard’s Power 50, acknowledging her as one of Australia’s most influential financial advisers. She won the 2025 Financial Planner of the Year (Women in Wealth Awards) and Independent Financial Advisers (IFA) Excellence Award and Thought Leader of the Year in 2023.
Ella Rigby
Young person
She is a daughter, sister, friend and student based in Perth, Western Australia. Ella is pursuing her passion of studying medicine and living life to the fullest.
Emma Paterson
Scientist
Emma is a PhD student in experimental physics at the Quantum Technologies and Dark Matter Research Lab at the University of Western Australia. Her research, focused on discovering dark matter, has led her to develop innovative technology which she is currently working on commercialising.
Ezra Fejo
Zoo worker
Ezra is a proud Miriwoong man from Kununurra in the Kimberly. He has been part of Perth Zoo’s Shoreline program, a national scheme supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students to gain qualifications and employment through partnerships between schools, training organisations and employers. TEDxKings Park is grateful to Perth Zoo for their cooperation in the making of this film.
Jemima Williamson-Wong
City Councillor
Jemima is a City of Fremantle Councillor who aims to increase community engagement and support a safe future for all. Elected at age 21, she is the youngest ever Fremantle Councillor. Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Jemima has been involved with the youth climate movement for six years.
Lydia Cohen

Lydia is the creator and founder of Girls on Country, an arts program specifically for First Nations Young Women. With a Masters in Fine Art at the University of London, Goldsmiths, Lydia was shortlisted for both The Catlin Art Prize and University of the Arts’ Future Maps Award. Lydia was awarded the Fellowship Award at Kala Arts Institute, Berkley, CA in 2017.
Razanne Al-Abdeli
Cultural advocate
Born in Sydney and raised in Perth, Razanne is of Palestinian and Iraqi heritage. She founded the Curtin Palestinian Society, a hub for Palestinian and non-Palestinian youth alike to learn about the Palestinian identity and culture, from Palestinian perspectives.
Rigel Paciente
Researcher
At The Kids Research Institute of Australia, Rigel is currently researching trauma-informed care and suicide prevention for vulnerable populations. They began their research career during their Master of Public Health, where they completed their dissertation in LGBTQA+ suicide prevention, followed by a research practicum into the usage of TikTok by LGBTQA+ users.
Ronald Bin Swani
Campaigner
Ronald is a Baad and Samsep person who grew up between Lombadina Community and Broome, along the coast of the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region. He is currently the Community Campaigner for Social Reinvestment WA.
