• Duaa Mushahid

  Student

  Duaa is a junior at the American School of Dhahran. She is seventeen years old and spends most of her time reading. She was born in New Jersey, but moved to Saudi Arabia when she was eight years old and has lived there ever since. She discovered her love for public speaking through Model UN and has participated in MUN conferences since she was in middle school. Although she’s spoken at many different events, TEDx has been the most memorable.

• Eleanor Hawkins

  Eleanor Hwkins explores her evolution from obsessively reading for quantity to finding joy in a balanced, thoughtful reading approach. She offers tips for incorporating reading into daily life, selecting enjoyable books, and building a supportive reading community.

• Eshal Khattak

  Student

  Eshal Khattak is 16 year old junior at the American School of Dhahran. She loves public speaking, as she was extremely extroverted from a young age, participating in MUN, debate, and poetry/speech competitions. She is a dancer and performer, teaching dance and painting classes, and immerses herself in a multitude of sports including football, basketball, squash, and golf. She hopes to pursue a career in Medicine. From her strong belief in advocating for women’s creative freedom and hobbies in underdeveloped areas, since she herself enjoys them so much, she started her student led organisation called Jinaykay, which advocates for young girls in underdeveloped areas to make their own free creative decisions and expand on their hobbies. That’s why she aims to use her voice for better, advocating for little things that could make big differences in peoples lives.

• Hassaan Farooqi

  Student

  Hassaan is a student at the American School of Dhahran with an intense passion for racquet sports, especially Tennis and Squash.

• Jana Alkudmani

  Student

  Jana Alkudmani is a recent high school graduate with a passion for politics and law. For the past four years, she has been actively involved in Model United Nations and has won several writing, speech, and debate contests. She has a deep love for inspiring and acquiring knowledge, having spent most summers as a kindergarten teacher. Jana's goal in life is to encourage individuals to let their true colors shine and harness their authenticity to make a positive impact on the world.

• Rayyan Yousaf

  Rayyan Yousaf is a junior at American School Dhahran. He is passionate about STEM and loves to talk about anything going on in the field, whether that be the latest scientific advancement or just a mind-boggling but interesting topic. Also in his spare time, Rayyan loves to read, code, and likes to create hands-on projects that utilise circuitry. Rayyan is excited to contribute what he can in the future to the world of STEM and make a difference in people's lives, no matter how big it is. Through the opportunity of TEDxAmericanSchoolDhahran, Rayyan has been able to dip his toes into the art of public speaking about STEM.

• Sulayman Khan

  From Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sulayman Khan is determined to pursue a career in the medical field and leave his mark. When he isn’t chasing his dream of becoming a medical professional, Sulayman enjoys watching the clouds and pondering life.
