Ancient Indian wisdom is integral in its outlook on the world. It does not pit one part against the other. It regards all as the expression of the one and only one reality; hence bound to one another like the members of a family. Such a world view strives for harmony and balance between the constituent parts, signified by the Sanskrit term, Dharma. It is this Dharma that defines sustainability of relationships between man and environment, man and woman, man and work and man and technology. The observance of Dharma is, therefore, considered the basis of progress, both material and spiritual.
