  • Laurent Filipe

    Trumpeter, songwriter, producer. He graduated in Music Composition and Theory at the University of Kansas (USA) in 1985 and obtained a post graduate degree in Music Composition for Film by Berklee College of Music (USA) in 1987. Currently has a doctorate in human sciences. He will talk about how the music connects with science and IT.

  • Miguel Abreu

    Currently Miguel Abreu is the president of the Portuguese Mathematical Society, he has a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Instituto Superior Técnico (UTL) where is an Associate Professor with Aggregation. He studied at several foreign institutions Stanford University, Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton, USA) and the Fields Institute (Toronto, Canada). He will talk about the state of art of the mathematical education in Portugal.

  • Rodrigo Martins

    President of European Materials Research Society and researcher at the Center for Materials Research (Cenimat/I3N), Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), leads the Portuguese investigation team that invented the transistor and memory (electronic) paper.

  • Luis Mira Amaral

    He is currently Executive Chairman of the Portuguese BancoBIC SA, Member of the "Supervisory Board" of the "Royal Lankhorst Group Euronete" (Netherlands), Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of NOVABASE SGPS SA and Professor of Economics and Management of STIs He will talk about how financial and economics repercussions in our live.
