Please join the Global Returns Project—an initiative of the Climate Crisis Foundation—for our free TEDx talk on 14 October in conjunction with the TED Countdown initiative. Our Co-Founder and Executive Trustee Yan Swiderski will be speaking about the opportunities he sees for structural change in climate finance and the financial services industry. Learn more about how simple changes could make a massive difference in the way we fund the world's most effective climate solutions. Along with defining the concept of Reinvesting in Earth, Yan will also explain why he set up the Global Returns Project after a successful career as a fund manager.

  • Jasper Judd

    Co-Founder, Global Returns Project

    Jasper is a Cambridge graduate and Chartered Accountant. He is currently a non-executive director of two public companies: JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust PLC and Dunedin Income Growth Investment Trust PLC. Previously, he worked as finance director of a range of businesses. Most recently, he was a senior executive of the large Australian multinational, Brambles Limited, where he was Group Head of Strategy.

  • Yan Swiderski

    Co-Founder, Global Returns Project

    After completing his law degree at Cambridge, Yan spent most of his career working in finance. He was one of the founders of Finisterre Capital where he managed global portfolios investing in over 50 countries, primarily in developing markets. He retired from financial markets in 2014 to manage an organic farm in Cornwall which is now a rewilding project. Despite spending most of his professional career in international finance, Yan has had a long-standing interest in climate issues—an interest he shares with his wife Camilla, who is an environmentalist by profession. He decided to launch the Global Returns Project to empower people to easily fund not-for-profit climate solutions, after growing frustrated at just how little capital is invested in environmental projects.
