TEDxOguiRoad

In his article in the Financial Times of April 3, 2020 titled “The Pandemic Is a Portal”, Indian author Arundhati Roy writes, “Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. It is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next”. The theme for this year’s TEDxOguiRoad is “Reimagine”. Taking a cue from the above referenced article, what will our communities and the rest of the world look like post COVID-19? As history has shown, choices made during crises can shape the world for decades to come so if the pandemic is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next, how do we reimagine our new reality to take advantage of and solve many of the problems that confront us today? How do we galvanise collective action to bring about fundamental change, build economies that deliver inclusive economic growth, prosperity, and safety for all? It is their vision of this Reimagined world that our Speakers will share with us by exploring a wide range of topics, issues and areas.
