Dr. Ben Dubin-Thaler
The Cell Motion BioBus was founded in August, 2007 by Ben Dubin-Thaler, only weeks after he presented his Ph.D. thesis on how cells move. Turning down a number of job offers, Dr. Ben pursued his dream of building a vehicle for bringing hands-on science education to communities that rarely have such opportunities. After purchasing a 1974 San Francisco transit bus, Dr. Ben created the BioBus, a high-tech laboratory on wheels, boasting an array of advanced scientific equipment.
Todd Shalom
Elastic City founder Todd Shalom, who presents conceptual walks by artists throughout and outside of New York. Todd Shalom is the founder and director of Elastic City. He works with text, sound and image to re-contextualize the body in space using vocabulary of the everyday.
Ingrid LaFluer
Curator Ingrid LaFleur is a world traveler. She is an art advisor and curator whose work has taken her to the far reaches of the globe. She has traveled South America, Africa and Europe to make visual art more accessible to people who don’t generally experience the arts from around the globe. As an advocate for the support of artists and the arts Ingrid co-founded several initiatives to bring local contemporary artists to areas where the arts rarely flourish.
