TEDxQingdaoYinhaiAcademy is organized by students from Qingdao Yinhai Academy. They want to help the audience and speakers to spark conversation and connection through the local TED-like experiences. “Leap” originally means jumping over a barrier but we want to comprehend this word from different perspectives: any band-new development that brings positive influence in our society could an aspect of leap. It could be an improvement of a certain field, such as the application of artificial intelligence, or breakthrough happening to an individual. In modern society, there exists a group of people who constantly strive to surpass themselves. They are eager to chase their dreams; they are willing to challenge themselves; they never stop at the present quo; they are hardly satisfied with ease....

  • Liangchen Guan

    He was graduated from Qingdao University of Science and Technology in 2005. Now, he is the maker instructor of Qingdao Maker Space, project leader of Makeblock and instructor for FRC competition. He is good at programming, robotic software design, etc.

  • Mat Terrett

    Mat has been teaching English for Academic Purposes in various guises and institutions in China since 2005 and started working for CELFS in2016 on the PS6. He completed his EdD research with a focus on teaching EAP reading and writing skills in 2015. He worked for University of Bath and University of Bristol. He is and artist, educator and IT dabbler who always has lots of creative and educational projects on the go.
