TEDxPrioryAcademyLSST is organised by a team of students from the Sixth Form who are trying to spark inspiration and provoke “out-of-the-box” thinking among their peers who are currently deciding on their life journeys. With this event, we aim to broaden horizons regarding opportunities and attitudes towards life. Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.

I am studying for a Master’s degree in Defence, Development and Diplomacy at Durham University. Most of my study has been focused on Libya and the Middle East, including work with a firm called Intelligence Fusion where I remotely monitor , current events in Jordan, and I will soon be travelling to Bosnia with a group from my course to look at both the present political situation there and the historical legacy of the war and genocide that occurred there in the 1990s. In September, having finished my thesis, I will be working for a consultancy firm based in Westminster (Q5 Partners if that is of interest). For the time being, I spend my spare time rowing on the river in Durham.
