TEDxWestFurongRoad is an independently organized TED event held in the community level of Xi’an in the spirit of ideas worth spreading. This officially licensed TEDx event is scheduled for October 29, 2016, taking place at the Xi’an Art Museum as an invitation-only event (100 attendees). We aim to bring together diverse minds to give idea-focused talks that foster learning, inspiration and new perspectives in a TED-like experience.

  • April Carrillo

    April Carrillo is a teacher of Mathematics and an instructor for leadership programs at an international school in Xi'an, China. She daily nurtures and inspires a diverse body of international students, encouraging them to overcome their fears and face challenges.

  • Boyang Zhang

    Boyang Zhang is an educator of English literature in Xi'an, China and a member of MENSA China. He is passionate about literature

  • Kevin Coduto

    Kevin Coduto is an educational consultant in Xi’an, China. He is passionate about cross-cultural collaboration and is committed to bridging the gap between eastern and western cultures through his work. Kevin works every day to make the world a better place—asking himself "Do I dare eat a peach…"

  • Mandi Zhao

    Mandi Zhao has spent her entire life in Xi'an, witnessing the rapid development in the city that contains the glory of the ancient dynasties.

  • Terence Brady

    Dr. Terence Brady is an educator from Ireland, holding degrees in Philosophical Humanities, Theology, and Religious Conflict. A passionate leader of learning support, Dr. Terence is an Oxford research fellow focused on curriculum development. He is also a huge fan of Arsenal Football Club.

  • Tim King

    Tim King is the editor-in-chief of Xianease Magazine, the biggest expat magazine in town. Connecting with a diverse group of people, Tim strives to help build community in unlikely places.
