The theme "Beyond Boundaries" is all about the struggle and growing that comes from breaking down boundaries, whether it be in the world, in the workplace or just personal boundaries that are often the hardest to move past on the route to success. Examples of obstacles that our speakers have moved past are expectations in the school/workplace, developing innovative new technology or socioeconomic boundaries to name a few. However, all of the speakers have one thing in common: they ultimately moved past whatever barrier they were facing. Come to TEDxYouth@SMH to hear the stories of these incredible speakers!

Ana Paula Velasco
Ana Paula Velasco is a junior at TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas. She is a very active member of her school's JROTC program and aspires to be the 2016-2017 Battalion Commander, the highest leadership position in the Corps. She is an active member of Model UN and is a board member for her school's NHS chapter, as well as is an assistant soccer coach for a UG7 Rec ream in her spare time. She aspires to attend American University for college and major in Political Science or National Defense, and wants to work in the FBI one day as a profiler.
