TEDxYouth@Kranj

TEDxYouth@Kranj is an independent event, organised by young volunteers from Kranj. It will be held for the first time on 11 May 2015 in Prešernovo gledališče Kranj and we are confident that it is not going to be one-time event only. Ideas worth spreading are still being born. Every day. Speakers for this event are either young adults or adults, closely associated with young people, having certain influence on them. By presenting their ideas in 10-minute talks they wish to pique youth’s curiosity, inspire them … Individuals, who will be sharing their personal experience and discoveries with us, are all coming from completely different working environments and backgrounds, therefore no two speeches are going to be alike. The purpose of TEDxYouth@Kranj is not to promote speakers or their success, but rather the ideas that brought them to where they are today. The stories told will be about the search of identity and oneself through perpetual traveling, about hobbies that turned into business plans, about knowledge and its promotion, about young people motivation. There will be talks about persistence, about rough experiences, disease and dealing with it, about art and science and their influence on individuals, about collages of beautiful words, about philosophy, fashion, beauty, and self-reflection. We are most certainly not going to save the world, however, one might get ideas on how to make a small change here and there in order to make this world a bit better. If we leave the event at least a bit absorbed in thoughts, inspired, just slightly different, the purpose of the talks will be reached. And judging by the line-up of our speakers, this just might be inevitable.
