• Laurie Lamarre

  Laurie P. Lamarre is the executive director at the Institute for American Indian Studies, a museum and research center in Washington, Connecticut. Her work in the museum profession is grounded in education, exhibitions, archaeological and historical research, and partnerships, communications, and marketing. She’s inspired by how museums of all shapes and sizes open pathways between cultures; how the perspectives, stories, and understandings of past places and peoples can shape our future. She holds a B.A. in History & Anthropology from UConn and a M.A. in Museum Education and Museum Studies from Tufts University. Lamarre has worked with various museums and historical societies around southern New England, including the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, the USS Constitution Museum, the Mattatuck Museum, and the National Heritage Museum, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut League of History Organizations.

• Michael Evans

  Mr. Evans is interested in wildlife ecology and human-wildlife dynamics. He is especially interested in understanding the factors governing animals’ resource use and movement behavior and quantitative spatial approaches to describe these processes at multiple scales. His goal is to conduct research answering questions that are directly informative to conservation and management decisions, drawing on multiple disciplines to understand anthropogenic effects on wildlife populations.

• Tony Vengrove

  Tony is a marketing and innovation veteran with over 20 years experience revolutionizing industries. His firm, Miles Finch Innovation, helps companies shatter cultural barriers that interfere with corporate innovation and creativity. Tony brings a general management perspective of innovation to the table having worked in world-class NYC ad agencies and Fortune 500 marketing, innovation and R&D organizations. Having lived and breathed innovative life on the inside, he possesses a pragmatic perspective valued by his clients.

• Jesse Smolover

  Jesse Smolover is an illustrator and teacher living in Providence, Rhode Island. He grew up in Lakeside, Connecticut; a town less than ten minutes away which you've probably never heard of. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in illustration. Jesse has worked on an archeological dig in Italy, taught arts integration middle school art through AmeriCorps, and currently draws people pretty pictures for money.

• Dave Rife

  Dave and Gabe create captivating interactive experiences using sound, light, and motion. Their collaborations with artists, institutions, and brands yield projects that traverse unexplored aesthetics and forms. Fun and fascination are at the heart of these technology-driven installations.

• Chard deNiord

  Chard deNiord earned a BA in religious studies from Lynchburg College, a Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, and an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. A cofounder of the New England College MFA program in poetry, he is the author of the poetry collections Asleep in the Fire (1990), Sharp Golden Thorn (2003), Night Mowing (2005), and The Double Truth (2011). His book Sad Friends, Drowned Lovers, Stapled Songs (2011) is a collection of interviews with American poets, including Robert Bly, Lucille Clifton, Jack Gilbert, Donald Hall, Galway Kinnell,Maxine Kumin, and Ruth Stone. He lives in Putney, Vermont, where he has made his home since 1989. His wife Liz, is Chair of the Brattleboro Union High School Art Department. His two children, Soren and Rayna, are landscape architects who live in Protland, Maine and San Francisco.

• Gabe Liberti
