Curt McPhail
Curt is the Program Officer for the Mary Black Foundation. An avid cyclist, he founded globalbike, an organization that uses the transformative power of bicycles to create social change in the developing world.

Kerry is a writer/stage director who teaches Theatre at Wofford College. Her love of hand-written letters and her desire to make meaningful contact with people led her to launch Sincerely,Spartanburg.
Erin Ouzts
Erin chairs the Hub City Co-op Start-up Board, leading a group committed to opening the first retail food co-op in SC. Her work focuses on ‘start-ups’ in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Brian Corbin
Brian Corbin grew up in Clifton, SC. With BS and MS degrees in computer science and 10 years experience as a software developer, Corbin is passionate about promoting computer science in rural areas.
Anne Catlla
Anne is a mathematics professor at Wofford College who explores patterns in nature like the stripes on a zebra and the rhythm of fireflies.
Antonio Garza
Antonio was born and raised in South Texas near the US/Mexico border. He is an instructor of English & Spanish at Universities in the US, China & Brazil. His essays and short stories habe been published in Mexico & the US. He performs his one-man show "Men in Uniform" in several art festivals & private venues.
Jordana Megonigal
Jordana is the editor of Business Black Box magazine & publishing house. She is passionate about Mud Run training, but if you want to get her riled up, mention political “leadership” or Georgia football.
Markeisha Nesbitt
Markeisha, aka “One Love,” is a spoken-word artist from Spartanburg. She started writing in the 7th grade and released her first spoken-word album entitled “Behind the Hurt Lies Love” in November 2009.
Melissa Walker
Melissa is the Johnson Professor of History at Converse College. In 2007, the Carnegie Foundation for Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education named her SC Professor of the Year.
Noah Guthrie
Noah Guthrie is a 17 year old singer/songwriter from South Carolina. Obsessed with all things music, most of what he writes is “organic”-- not a lot of tricks, but good melodies and lyrics with something to say.
Oakley Coburn
Oakley is Dean of the Library and Director of Cultural Events at Wofford College. He looks to the digital camera as a tool that will help him see the world around him and understand the beauty of the commonplace.
The That
The That is an art team comprised of Claudia Dishon, Nathaniel Coburn, Andreas Christou, Camille Bonham, Tina Torres & Lee Simmons. The performance "Able Fish" is inspired by the book Swimmy by Leo Lionni.
The Wheresville Project
Hailing from Spartanburg, South Carolina, and influenced by many musical styles, The Wheresville Project plays original Blues-rock inspired songs, plus classic rock and modern rock covers.
Spartanburg High School Percussion Ensemble
SHSB Percussion Ensemble is in its second year of existence under the direction of Matthew McDaniel. Members perform orchestral transcriptions, jazz, world music and original compositions.
Tyler Swain
Selected in 2010 as Wofford College's 27th Presidential International Scholar, Tyler studied societal values on four continents as civil unrest swept the globe. His documentary will be released this Fall.
Betsy Fleming
Betsy's passion for learning led her to pursue degrees from Harvard, Royal College of Art in London, and Yale. Since 2005, she has served as President of Converse College in her hometown of Spartanburg.
Amy Wood
Amy is a social TV instigator at WSPA TV. One of the first news anchors in the nation to incorporate social media into news, she is frequently invited to talk about “telling your story” in the digital age.
Kyle Draper
Kyle Draper is 25 and has lived in Spartanburg most of his life. He enjoys reading and creating odd comics, and playing Nintendo. He hopes to do one of those things professionally.
