TEDxYouth@CityofLight

On November 20, 2010 – Universal Children’s Day – the first TEDx Youth event is scheduled to take place. TEDxYouth@CityofLight will be held at Shenton College, Perth, Western Australia. Perth was famously dubbed City of Light when in 1962 city residents lit their house lights and streetlights as American astronaut John Glenn passed overhead while orbiting the earth on Friendship 7. The city repeated the gesture in 1998 as Glenn passed overhead on the Space Shuttle. The event will be hosted by Kieran Jiwa, and will run from 9am until 1pm.
