Zach Sims is the cofounder and CEO of Codecademy, a provider of online education to more than 25 million people around the world learning the skills they need to find jobs. Codecademy has raised more than $40 million from investors like USV, Index, Kleiner Perkins, Naspers, Y Combinator, and more. Zach was honored as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, was voted to TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list, and was named to both Forbes Magazine and Inc. Magazine’s "30 Under 30" lists. Outside of Codecademy, Zach is a Venture Partner at Bowery Capital and an advisor to Bloomberg Beta. Previously, Zach worked at GroupMe (acquired by Skype) and drop.io (acquired by Facebook). He was a Columbia University student before dropping out to found Codecademy.
