I'm passionate about
Literature of all kinds, but most specifically that which is created and disseminated to young people of diverse backgrounds. I’m constantly making work, trying to figure out better ways to engage young people and perpetuate not just a love for literature, but a growth of literacy.
An idea worth spreading
When teaching literacy and language, there must be a way to teach the standard without dismissing the natural. All versions of all languages are necessary and vital to the cultures that speak them. They should be seen as valuable and valid, not as improper and incorrect.
