Bio
My name is Leah Labarrere and I am pursuing a degree in Northern and Rural Community Planning at UNBC. I am also the President of TedxUNBC and a member of many other university clubs.
An idea worth spreading
One of my favorite ideas is about city design. I am very interested in how a city's design can shape social relations, environmental risks and hazards, and overall health of a community. I believe that the way cities are designed from this day forward will have an incredible impact on both localized and global futures.

The TED story
Beginning in January of 2017, I was brought on as the Treasurer for the first Tedx event in Northern BC. I have worked hard alongside many other students and we were able to make TedxUNBC a major success last September. I am honored to say that I am now the President of TedxUNBC and am looking forward to what the future may hold for me.
