Hannah Cousins

I’m a British printmaker, specialising in the linocut medium. I am part of an artist’s co-operative in the centre of Bristol, where I work from my small studio, printing on an 1881 Albion Press. For the last year I’ve been producing linocuts for my book Coastline, out on Nomad Press this autumn. Coastline follows a journey down the Pacific Coast Highway, between San Francisco and Los Angeles, drawing inspiration from the colours and textures of the beautiful California coastline. The book is to be letterpress printed in limited edition and contains over 40 original linocuts alongside a travel diary and some pochoir stencilling which, unfortunately, is an art form in decline.
