Bio
Gabriela Granado is an integrated marketing communications professional who has worked in education for eight years. She is currently the research and innovation strategist for the Innovation Department at Ector County Independent School District (ECISD) and adjunct communications instructor at Odessa College. She has engaged students and teachers with citizen science projects, where they are able to contribute real data to science. Gabriela has also worked as the ECISD director of the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program, a program of the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE).
Her experience includes teaching high school journalism and technology applications. She has also worked as a communications specialist and received awards for photography and graphic design from Texas Schools Public Relations Association (TSPRA). Her integrated marketing communications experience also includes volunteer work for TEDxOptimistPark, TEDxAshburn, PaleoQuest and the Grief Alliance for Children.
Gabriela received her B.A. in Advertising and M.A. in Communication from UT Arlington. She loves travel, iPhone photography, nutrition, gardening, Mario Kart™, and has begun a collection of fossils from the Cretaceous period.
