Bio

I am the Executive Director of the ABC* foundation, a non for profit that brings together business, social and political leaders in the Americas to address the regions's most pressing challenges. Prior to joining ABC*, I worked as Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs of the Embassy of Colombia in London, promoting the negotiation and ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Community of Andean Nations and the European Union. Before my work in London, I was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University in New York City, conducting research on applied mathematics to finance and economics with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Columbia Business School. I'm also a previous Director of Information of Fortune International, a Florida based Real Estate development and investment firm, and a former Integrated Technology Specialist with IBM. I hold a BS degree in Economics from the University of Los Andes in Colombia and the University of Sydney in Australia and a MS in Operations Research from Columbia University where I still remain as a Research Officer, actively contributing to research on applied mathematics to finance and economics.

I'm passionate about

our geo-political, economic, social and scientific future, music, running and beer

An idea worth spreading

If we cleverly adjust our tax system, we could privatize social development investment by recognizing to social investors the market gains of any initiative they start. This, together with new rules to facilitate and organize the growing structures of crowd-funding, could pave the way for a better and more efficient economic and democratic model that brings the two concepts closer together: Econocracy.
