C. Bryan Daniels

Bryan Daniels formed Prairie Capital, a private equity firm he and his business partner started in 1997. Prairie has invested in more than 90 growth oriented platform companies since that time. The firm strategically partners with talented entrepreneurs and management teams to build market-leading companies in growing industries. The companies for which Bryan is currently a director include: Chicago Deferred Exchange Corp., ProVest, Right at School, Tower Engineering, Acceleration Acadamy, Education Incites and MB Financial a Chicago bank with $20 billion in assets. Additionally, Daniels is a member of the board of advisors of Siena Capital Partners and he sits on the Investment Committee Advisory Board of Community BanCorp. He serves in a philanthropic capacity as a member of the Visiting Committee of the Physical Science Department of the University of Chicago since 2002, a group which fosters dialogue about the sciences and creates links with the broader community outside of the University. Bryan and his wife Catherine, support Hyde Park Day School, a specialized school for bright children with learning differences, where Catherine has been a co-chair of the Scholarship Benefit for three years. The two also support Wolcott School, a private high school in Chicago, which serves serves students of superior to average intelligence with learning differences. Bryan’s education includes a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago, and an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Chemistry from Wabash College. Currently, Bryan is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. Bryan and his wife have three children, ages 18, 16 and 14. He works with his children on science projects in a lab Bryan built in their basement.
