About Barbara
Bio
I'm an integrative veterinarian, and I love what I do because there's nothing more satisfying than helping unleash the natural healing power in my patients. I treat all types of animals with all kinds of modalities bridging the gap between eastern and western techniques and traditional and holistic approaches.
I'm the first person to do acupuncture on a zebra, I've helped hand raise a Sumatran tiger, worked with wildlife like peregrine falcons and elephant seals. I've written 3 books, and have been in 3 documentaries (Pet Fooled currently on Netflix). I love working on our organic farm with my kids. I sail, swim, sing, dance and play piano for fun.
We try to keep the Royal Treatment Vet Center, my integrative vet practice in Chicago, a very vibrant, caring and healthy place to be.
My books and lectures are available at RoyalAnimalHealthUniversity.com
